So I got the 1070 about a month after the card was originally released and for a while it was stable. Then around about septembeoctober time I started to run into an issus. While turned on the system would suddenly lose signal to the moniter. This would be when the graphics card wasn't under and stress.
Every now and then the signal would recover but have really bad frame rate and also no sound would be play via my screen build in speakers. The majority of time the system requires a hard reboot to bring the system back to life. Its also random when it happen it can go days without a screen issus then happen a number of times in the same night.
I have download, and redownload a number of Nvidia graphics software and MSI software. Tried setting the fan speed upto 100% as someone suggested this worked. Done system restores until a few weeks ago when i deciced to replace the 1070 GTX with my old 660.
For the last few weeks I have had no problems, then on Monday I once again switched the card around. Since then the problem has reappeared so it must be the graphics card. At this point I am just so annoyed and every correction i have tried have failed. I am half tempted to bin this for a Radoen card and sell the problem onto someone else. I can only spend so long bug fixing a problem when I would rather be using my PC for playing Iracing and Flight Simulators.
This is my last attempt to try and get a solution to this problem before I give up, cut my loses and move on. I know some 1070's had a vram issus but that apparently didn't effect the Samsung chips used in them. Also some people have mentioned Nvidia driver issus between them cards and windows 10. I don't have a system with another verison of Windows to test the card in.
Below is a screenshot of the card under load using the GPU-Z bench test, I have the log saved to my computer but these show and max setting in each area. This dosn't appear to be anything wrong but then I don't really know what I am looking for.
